About

Matthew "Dunny" Dunn is currently not working within the realm of the music business at this moment in time. Fortunately, through relentless personal and social media networking, Dunny is able to keep his feet wet in the business by blogging and interacting with his network built around former colleagues, current friends, and others with similar interests.

Outside of his day job, Dunny fills the void through artist management and independent booking at some of New York City's and New Jersey's finest live music venues. Such venues include the Bowery's-Mercury Lounge, Arlene's Grocery, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaway's, Sullivan Hall, The Delancey, The Trash Bar, The Annex, and Maxwell's, The Whiskey Bar, and Mexicali Live in New Jersey.

Dunny obtained a Bachelors degree in the Music Industry from Suny College at Oneonta and continued his education with training at The Institute of Audio Research in the art of music production and engineering. The combination of his business and technical training not only showcases his commitment to the industry but also prepped him for future opportunities within the industry itself.

Key internships at Clear Channel Radio in the promotions/programming department, and major record company experience at Jive/Zomba Label Group led to a full time position at a digital music/media company as content manager for two years. Dunny worked within the A&R/Content department and focused heavily on licensing.

Amidst the toughest of times in the music industry, Dunny strives to persevere with an entrepreneurial spirit and maintains a positive outlook on the future of the music business as a whole.
